We will proceed up 500 road, follow the Elk Basin Cutoff and Elk Basin Trail to the Rim View cutoff, and out to the MV Peak stopping at the Hut on the way out or back, the exact route depending on the weather and snow conditions. Hello XC skiers: As stated in the last newsletter we are having a ski to the hut day this Saturday, Jan 27. We should have good weather and a few inches of new snow. The snow may be sticky, so bring your favorite non-stick goop. I will be going in on Friday to set up. The group will meet at the Magic Mtn Lodge at 10 am Saturday. Alan Bland will be leading the group to the hut. I will have a pot of chili on the stove and brats to grill outside. Some of you may wish to bring a little extra chili or other snacks or refreshments. The only rule is to have fun and get home safely. Saturday January 13, 2024

If you park in the ski area parking, please leave a note on the dash with the trail and expected time out. The Ski Area has gone out on lost skier searches because there was one car left in the parking lot.
